{"id":23588,"date":"2022-08-08T09:04:28","date_gmt":"2022-08-08T13:04:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvkids\/cake-dcm-boulder-team-amelia-fang\/"},"modified":"2022-08-08T12:32:02","modified_gmt":"2022-08-08T16:32:02","slug":"cake-dcm-boulder-team-for-amelia-fang","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvkids\/cake-dcm-boulder-team-for-amelia-fang\/","title":{"rendered":"CAKE, DCM &amp; Boulder Team for Amelia Fang"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>CAKE has aligned with DCM Pictures and Boulder Media on the 2D adventure comedy series <em>Amelia Fang<\/em>, which is aimed at 6- to 9-year-olds.<\/p>\n<p>The series is inspired by the books written and illustrated by Laura Ellen Anderson that have sold over half a million copies in the U.K. and have been translated into 24 languages.<\/p>\n<p>The show is set in an unusual world full of eccentric characters and follows the adventures of a young vampire with a big heart, Amelia Fang, and her diverse gang of friends. The initial run will comprise 48 11-minute episodes and two 22-minute specials.<\/p>\n<p><em>Amelia Fang<\/em> will be produced by DCM Pictures (<em>Bibi &amp; Tina<\/em>) with animation led by Dublin-based Boulder Media. It will be directed by Robert Cullen (<em>Gumball<\/em>, <em>Danger Mouse<\/em>, <em>My Little Pony<\/em>). The writing team is led by Elly Brewer (<em>Shaun the Sheep<\/em>, <em>Postman Pat<\/em>, <em>Thunderbirds<\/em>, <em>The Story of Tracy Beaker<\/em>, <em>Tracy Beaker Returns<\/em>). CAKE, executive producer, will handle international distribution.<\/p>\n<p>Ed Galton, CEO at CAKE and exec producer on <em>Amelia Fang<\/em>, said, \u201c<em>Amelia Fang<\/em> is full of heart, warmth and big adventure, and we are thrilled to be working with DCM Pictures and Boulder Media in bringing her to the screen.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Philippa Tsang, Marc Schmidheiny and Christoph Daniels at DCM Pictures and exec producers on <em>Amelia Fang<\/em>, said, \u201c<em>Amelia Fang<\/em> is joyful, funny, and at its heart, it is a show about embracing difference in our society.
