NHK in Japan has licensed the comedy mockumentary series The Inbestigators<\/em> from Australian Children\u2019s Television Foundation.<\/p>\n

NHK picked up the 10×24-minute first season, with catch-up rights on NHK Plus. The series tells the story of four primary school children who form their own detective agency and become best friends in the process.<\/p>\n

The show will premiere in Japan on August 7 and air every Sunday night on NHK E-tele.<\/p>\n

Takako Hayashi, senior producer at NHK, said: \u201cWe are always in quest of quality drama series for youths and are so thrilled to broadcast The Inbestigators<\/em>. Like children everywhere in the world, Japanese children love a great sense of humor and a bit of inbestigative mystery. Having a message of diversity in the series, we hope that Japanese viewers will see The Inbestigators<\/em> as a window to the world that will be a lot closer after Covid and feel that they have a great bunch of friends in Australia!\u201d<\/p>\n

Australian Children\u2019s Television Foundation\u2019s CEO, Jenny Buckland, said: \u201cThe Inbestigators<\/em> is a clever, funny and unique program that has resonated with audiences worldwide.
