Prior to that, Silverman was executive VP of global franchise licensing for Disney Consumer Products. He previously worked at Marvel Entertainment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJosh is an exceptional and talented leader and widely regarded as one of the most accomplished executives in consumer products,\u201d said Richard Dickson, Mattel\u2019s president and COO, to whom Silverman will report. \u201cHis experience at Disney overseeing the world\u2019s largest entertainment-related consumer products business will be invaluable as we start the next chapter of our growth strategy at Mattel.
