{"id":23147,"date":"2022-06-07T09:25:56","date_gmt":"2022-06-07T13:25:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvkids\/meteoheroes-grows-reach-latam-lusophone-markets\/"},"modified":"2022-06-07T11:54:49","modified_gmt":"2022-06-07T15:54:49","slug":"meteoheroes-grows-reach-in-latam-lusophone-markets","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvkids\/meteoheroes-grows-reach-in-latam-lusophone-markets\/","title":{"rendered":"MeteoHeroes Grows Reach in LatAm &amp; Lusophone Markets"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mondo TV Studios has launched the children\u2019s animation series <em>MeteoHeroes<\/em>, co-produced by Mondo TV and Meteo Expert, in multiple Latin American and Lusophone markets, as well as in the Caribbean.<\/p>\n<p>The first season of <em>MeteoHeroes<\/em> has been showing since March on public broadcaster Televisi\u00f3n Nacional de Chile and in Mexico via the educational broadcast television network Canal Once. It can also be seen on public broadcaster Ser TV in Panama.<\/p>\n<p>A deal has also been closed with Canal Panda for Portugal and Lusophone Africa for the upcoming SVOD launch of the series, on a non-exclusive basis, on Canal Panda\u2019s new OTT streaming service. A launch on the channel\u2019s pay-TV service will follow at a later date. <em>MeteoHeroes<\/em> has also entered the Caribbean market on TVJ, a free-to-air television station in Jamaica.<\/p>\n<p>Each episode of <em>MeteoHeroes<\/em> focuses on issues related to ecology and respect for nature through the adventures of six superpowered kids who travel the globe to fight climate change disasters using their unique abilities to control weather phenomena. Each kid represents a different continent and a different natural element.<\/p>\n<p><em>MeteoHeroes<\/em> made its broadcast debut on PBS in the U.S. with an Earth Day Special on April 22. It premiered in North America through a partnership involving Kenn Viselman and his itsy bitsy Entertainment Company, along with the show\u2019s co-producers. A companion series, executive produced by Viselman, is to launch in late summer 2022. The second season of <em>MeteoHeroes<\/em> had its world premiere on Cartoonito in Italy in April 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Maria Bonaria Fois, CEO of Mondo TV Studios, said: \u201cThe continuing growth of <em>MeteoHeroes<\/em> shows how its themes of respect for nature and saving the planet have enormous resonance for young viewers but also how the show\u2019s humor, adventure and relatable, diverse characters have a universal appeal.
