David H. Wright III, who has been with Disney since 1997, has been promoted to senior VP of casting and talent relations for Disney Television Animation.<\/p>\n

Wright has been the VP of casting and talent relations since 2013 and has led the team responsible for the casting of all Disney Television Animation\u2019s series and movies, including Elena of Avalor<\/em>. In his new role, he will continue to oversee all voice casting and talent relations.<\/p>\n

He originally joined the company in 1997 as a talent coordinator for Walt Disney Pictures and Television and, since then, has worked on hundreds of animated projects, beginning with Lion King II: Simba\u2019s Pride<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Pepper Ann<\/em>. His other credits include Gravity Falls<\/em>, Phineas and Ferb<\/em>, DuckTales<\/em>, Star Wars Rebels<\/em>, The Lion Guard<\/em>, the English version of Spirited Away<\/em>, Return to Neverland<\/em> and The Fox and the Hound 2<\/em>.<\/p>\n

In his new role, Wright reports to Meredith Roberts, senior VP\/general manager of television animation for Disney Branded Television, while the casting and talent relations team reports to him. The team consists of Aaron Drown, Jennifer Trujillo-Andres, Julia Pleasants, Kristin Paiva, Tatiana Bull, Colleen O’Donnell and Jennifer Klocki.<\/p>\n
