Distribution360 (D360) has added to its roster with the launch of a brand-new digital series: Lady Ada\u2019s Secret Society<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Lady Ada\u2019s Secret Society<\/em> debuts today on the CAVCO-certified YouTube channel marbleKIDS as a 9×9-minute show. D360 will shop the series as both shorts and an 80-minute film.<\/p>\n

Lady Ada\u2019s Secret Society<\/em> follows the adventures of Ava, Tina, Rebelle and Frances in their secret computer club as they rebel against their hyper-traditional boarding school where technological advances are dismissed.<\/p>\n

Funded by Ontario Creates and The Shaw Rocket Fund, the show is produced by creator Shannon Fewster alongside Joshua Demers and Andrew Hunter, and Samantha Wan (Second Jen<\/em>) directs. The series stars Ella Jonas Farlinger (Anne with an E<\/em>), Maia Jae Bastidas (In The Dark<\/em>), Glenna Walters (Anne with an E<\/em>), Claire Qute (The Detail<\/em>) and Terri Hawkes (Sailor Moon<\/em>).<\/p>\n

Fewster said: \u201cOur goal was to create comedic role models, showing young girls that are standing up for themselves and defeating adversity when someone tells them ‘girls don\u2019t’ or ‘girls can\u2019t’. Our target demographic is at the critical age where viewers will start to choose their post-secondary courses, and our hope is that showing young women aspiring to be engineers, astronauts and computer scientists will be the spark that they need to continue.\u201d<\/p>\n
