Northern Ireland-based JAM Media is producing the second and third seasons of <em>Nova Jones<\/em>, which are slated to premiere later this year and in 2023, respectively.<\/p>\n<p><em>Nova Jones<\/em> was created by Helen Serafinowicz (<em>Motherland<\/em>), with head writer Andrew Ellard. Original songs are written by Matthew Graham and Jessica Hammond (<em>Konica<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>Season one of <em>Nova Jones<\/em> was streamed over a million times on BBC iPlayer alongside its linear run on CBBC. The series is distributed by BBC Studios\u2019 newly formed BBC Kids &amp; Family division globally.<\/p>\n<p>Sarah Muller, head of BBC Children\u2019s commissioning and acquisitions for kids over 7, said: \u201cAfter the success of the first series that launched last year on CBBC and iPlayer, we are excited to bring viewers two more series of this vibrant musical comedy. In these new series, we plan to extend the songs so there are even more opportunities for viewers to enjoy Nova\u2019s dazzling performances.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>John Rice, CEO of JAM Media, said: \u201cThe series has truly resonated with U.K. and Irish viewers, and we look forward, through our partnership with Studios, to bringing <em>Nova Jones<\/em> to a global audience.
