AT&T has launched The Achievery, a free digital learning platform designed to make distance learning more engaging, created in collaboration with WarnerMedia.<\/p>\n
The platform features clips from some of WarnerMedia’s most popular titles, pairing them with learning activities to entertain and connect with children. For example, Wonder Woman<\/em> film clips are paired with reading and writing lessons, while\u00a0Aquaman<\/em> snippets are used with lessons on responsible decision-making.<\/p>\n Each of The Achievery’s lessons is developed by leading education organizations, aligned to academic standards and reviewed by experts from the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD). Learning subjects now available include social-emotional learning, arts, English, language arts and technology and engineering. Science, social studies, math and digital literacy will be added in the future.<\/p>\n The Achievery is continuing to be designed through feedback from parents and educators in collaboration with the National Parent Teacher Association (PTA) and ASCD. Leading education organizations such as Khan Academy, Young Storytellers, Scratch, Weird Enough Productions and 826 National are providing learning units.<\/p>\n The Achievery is part of the AT&T Connected Learning initiative, created in 2021 as part of a company-wide $2 billion commitment to addressing the digital divide.<\/p>\n \u201cA student needs more than a reliable broadband connection and a computer to learn at home,\u201d said Charlene Lake, chief sustainability officer and senior VP of corporate responsibility at AT&T, ESG. \u201cThey need educational content that helps them get the most out of their broadband connection. That\u2019s why we created a platform that connects familiar faces from WarnerMedia with engaging lessons and learning activities from leading education experts.
