Sesame Workshop has launched a package of resources with the support of UnitedHealthcare to help children build a lifelong foundation of resilience.<\/p>\n
Among the new resources are three storybooks, each focused on a different key ingredient to building resilience. Looking for Special<\/em> teaches confidence, Monster Dash<\/em> focuses on dealing with change and Bounce Back<\/em> encourages practicing persistence.<\/p>\n In addition, an online course titled Roads to Resilience is available. Tailored to help healthcare workers, educators and housing and social service providers implement new resilience resources, the course highlights the crucial role that providers play in the lives of young children and families.<\/p>\n Recognizing the importance of providing comfort and reducing stress for children in environments such as medical offices, social service offices and educational settings, Sesame Workshop will also launch new Comfy-Cozy Spaces later this year, including child-size tables, chairs and bookshelves stocked with Sesame Street in Communities books and resources.<\/p>\n All of the resources are available in both English and Spanish and are available for free for families and providers online.
