Zodiak Kids has clinched a presale with KiKA in Germany for its upcoming animated series based on the heritage property Mumfie<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The 78×7-minute series, directed by Daniel Dubuis, is a co-production between Zodiak Kids Studio France and the Italian animation studio Animoka alongside France T\u00e9l\u00e9visions and Italy’s Rai. KiKA will launch the show in a prime-time slot.<\/p>\n

The preschool comedy series is based on Britt Allcroft\u2019s Magic Adventures of Mumfie<\/em> (creator of Thomas & Friends <\/em>and the film Thomas & The Magic Railroad<\/em>). The brand-new series features the optimistic young elephant Mumfie, along with his best friends Pinkey the flying pig and Jelly Bean the color-changing jellyfish.<\/p>\n

Sebastian Debertin, head of international content acquisitions and co-productions at KiKA, said:\u00a0\u201cWe are truly delighted to be adding Mumfie<\/em> to KiKA\u2019s schedule of preschool programming. I think our audiences will fall in love with the absolutely unique and eclectic cast of characters and adore exploring the magical world of Mumfie with them.\u201d<\/p>\n
