Duolingo has tapped veteran children\u2019s television executive Linda Simensky, who joins from PBS KIDS, as head of animation and scripted content.<\/p>\n
In the newly created position, Simensky will lead the company\u2019s efforts to create scripted and character-driven stories featuring Duolingo\u2019s original cast of characters, from original animation to the writing efforts for Duolingo\u2019s Stories product and its childhood literacy app, Duolingo ABC.<\/p>\n
Simensky will report to Timothy Shey, VP of Studios + Content.<\/p>\n
At PBS KIDS, Simensky oversaw the development of a diverse lineup of shows such as Daniel Tiger\u2019s Neighborhood<\/em>, Wild Kratts<\/em>, Molly of Denali<\/em> and Alma\u2019s Way<\/em>.
