{"id":21772,"date":"2021-10-21T09:00:57","date_gmt":"2021-10-21T13:00:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvkids\/worldscreen.com\/"},"modified":"2021-10-21T10:25:52","modified_gmt":"2021-10-21T14:25:52","slug":"xilam-animation-sets-first-merchandising-campaign","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvkids\/xilam-animation-sets-first-merchandising-campaign\/","title":{"rendered":"Xilam Animation Launches Oggy Oggy Merchandising Campaign"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Xilam Animation&#8217;s first high-potential merchandising operation will be for its <em>Oggy Oggy<\/em> series, with Simba Dickie Group as the master toy licensee.<\/p>\n<p>As a major step of Xilam&#8217;s &#8220;Scale 2023&#8221; strategic plan, the <em>Oggy Oggy<\/em> merchandise campaign is set to launch for Christmas 2022. Simba will produce a complete range of toys, including dolls, vehicles, accessories and more, for 3- to 6-year-olds with a graphic style guide drawn by Xilam.<\/p>\n<p><em>Oggy Oggy<\/em>, a spin-off of the hit series <em>Oggy and the Cockroaches<\/em>, was chosen for Xilam&#8217;s first merchandising launch as it already has brand awareness and is currently being rolled out worldwide. Other series with high merchandising potential will be launched in the future.<\/p>\n<p>Merchandising is one of the four pillars of Xilam&#8217;s strategy, based on growing its core business of kids&#8217; and family content, expanding its adult-focused content range, capitalizing on strategic high-return non-IP content and accelerating B2C revenue streams.<\/p>\n<p>Marc du Pontavice, chairman and CEO of Xilam, said: &#8220;We are particularly pleased to announce this merchandising license agreement. It marks a key step in our 360-degree strategy to position Xilam and its brands, taking us beyond videos, to provide a more holistic approach to children&#8217;s entertainment.
