{"id":21609,"date":"2021-10-01T09:03:37","date_gmt":"2021-10-01T13:03:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvkids\/cartoon-springboard-set-valencia\/"},"modified":"2021-10-01T12:10:43","modified_gmt":"2021-10-01T16:10:43","slug":"cartoon-springboard-set-for-valencia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvkids\/cartoon-springboard-set-for-valencia\/","title":{"rendered":"Cartoon Springboard Set for Valencia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Valencia is hosting the next edition of Cartoon Springboard, the pitching event for new animation talents to be held from October 26 to 28.<\/p>\n<p>A total of 24 projects, involving 39 young directors graduated from 22 animation schools across Europe within the last five years, will be pitched to a panel of experts and professionals from the sector.<\/p>\n<p>France leads the selection with seven projects by graduates from Gobelins\u2014L&#8217;Ecole de l&#8217;Image, \u00c9cole de la Cit\u00e9, ECV Bordeaux, Emile Cohl Atelier and EMCA\u2014\u00c9cole des M\u00e9tiers du Cin\u00e9ma d&#8217;Animation. Italy is second with four projects by alumni from NAS\u2014New Animation in Sardegna, Nemo Academy, Civica scuola di cinema Luchino Visconti and Scuola Romana dei fumetti. Germany, with graduates from the Filmakademie Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg, ifs internationale filmschule k\u00f6ln, and Hochschule Darmstadt\u2014University of Applied Sciences, and Hungary, with former students from Moholy-Naguy University of Art and Design and Budapest\u2019s University of Theatre and Film Arts, participate with three projects each.<\/p>\n<p>Most of the projects are created in 2D animation, except for two in 3D, one in stop motion and three using hybrid animation.<\/p>\n<p>Half of the projects have already secured a producer partner, including Story House (Belgium), TETRABOT (Croatia), Icare Entertainment and Yabunousagi (France), Blaue Pampelmuse and TWENTYTWO Film (Germany), CUB Animation and ULab (Hungary), JAM Media (Ireland), and Foore animation, Flora\u2019s Room and Lumiar (Italy).<\/p>\n<p>Over the past few years, 25 projects were selected for Cartoon Forum and Cartoon Movie following their participation in Cartoon Springboard.
