LoCo Motion Pictures has commenced production on the third season of the CBC Gem original scripted tween series Detention Adventure<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Season three will follow the\u00a0Detention Adventure<\/em>\u00a0team as they work to uncover the secret hidden in Lawren Harris\u2019 painting, given to them by Principal Lounsberry.\u00a0In the new season, Carolyn Taylor (Baroness Von Sketch Show<\/em>) will guest star in five episodes, while up-and-coming singer, dancer and actor Dant\u00e9 Prince has been tapped to co-star as new art student Dash.<\/p>\n

When the Detention Adventure<\/em> team learns they\u2019ll be spending one of their final weeks of school at Island School, they\u2019re initially unimpressed with what appears to be a dilapidated camp\u2014until they realize that the camp could hold the answers they\u2019re looking for. Together, the team explores what Lawren Harris\u2019 painting could mean through different art forms while forging new bonds with their fellow Island School students.<\/p>\n

Returning series regulars include Simone Miller Castoro-Qualizza, Tomaso Sanelli, Alina Prijono, Jack Fulton, Lilly Bartlam, Andrew Moodie, Rodrigo Fernandez-Stoll and Stacey McGunnigle. Benjamin Ayres will also return as a guest star.<\/p>\n

Co-created by Joe Kicak and Carmen Albano, Detention Adventure<\/em> is written by Kicak, Albano, Lisa Rose Snow, Jay Vaidya and Cassie Cao. It launched in 2019 as CBC\u2019s first original kids’ scripted series for CBC Gem.<\/p>\n

Blue Ant International has licensed the first two seasons of the series to platforms in more than 125 territories, including the U.S., the U.K., Ireland, Spain, Australia, New Zealand, the Middle East, Latin America, the Nordics and Hong Kong. The company\u00a0has secured worldwide distribution rights to the series\u2019s third season, outside of Canada.<\/p>\n
