Day one of the TV Kids Summer Festival features a panel with leading public broadcasters; keynotes from Mattel\u2019s Ynon Kreiz, YouTube Originals\u2019 Nadine Zylstra and ViacomCBS\u2019s Maria Kyriacou; and sessions on inclusivity in kids\u2019 TV and the magic of Sesame Street<\/em>, featuring the beloved Cookie Monster joined by Sesame Workshop\u2019s Ed Wells.<\/p>\n

The first day opens with a powerful session on the importance of public broadcasting, spotlighting the strategies of PBS KIDS\u2019 Linda Simensky, Rai\u2019s Luca Milano, BBC\u2019s Sarah Muller and DR\u2019s Niels Lindberg.<\/p>\n

Next up you\u2019ll hear from Ynon Kreiz, chairman and CEO of Mattel and media industry veteran, on how he has stepped up the company\u2019s efforts to capture the full value of its iconic IP portfolio (stay tuned for a sneak peek at Barbie & Chelsea The Lost Birthday<\/em> immediately following the keynote).<\/p>\n

Nadine Zylstra, the head of family, learning and impact at YouTube Originals, will then discuss how she is partnering with top YouTube creators and producers to develop hit original series for the platform.<\/p>\n

Maria Kyriacou, the president of ViacomCBS Networks UK and Australia, will share her insights on the company\u2019s thriving kids\u2019 businesses in those markets and discuss its landmark \u201cno diversity, no commission\u201d policy.<\/p>\n

In the afternoon, we\u2019re thrilled to feature three executives who are leading the charge to make kids\u2019 television more inclusive: Lion Forge\u2019s David Steward II, Big Bad Boo\u2019s Shabnam Rezaei and Safi Ideas\u2019 Wa\u2019qaar Mirza.<\/p>\n

The beloved Cookie Monster closes the day\u2019s agenda in the session The Magic of Sesame Street<\/em>, which will also feature Ed Wells, executive VP and head of global media and education at Sesame Workshop.<\/p>\n
