A panel at the TV Kids Summer Festival will feature Sesame Workshop\u2019s Ed Wells discussing what\u2019s new at the organization, with Cookie Monster set to appear as a special guest.<\/p>\n
The TV Kids Summer Festival, which is being held from June 7 to 10, will explore the challenges and opportunities facing the children\u2019s content community today. The event, which is free to attend, will be streamed live and available on-demand on\u00a0TVKidsFestival.com<\/a>. (Missed our winter edition? Catch up on all the sessions\u00a0here<\/a>.)<\/p>\n Wells serves as executive VP and head of global media and education for Sesame Workshop, where he is responsible for developing the organization\u2019s long-term strategic vision for media and education in the U.S. and around the world while maximizing audience engagement and growing the Workshop\u2019s commercial and educational endeavors.<\/p>\n Cookie Monster made his\u00a0Sesame Street<\/em>\u00a0debut in the show\u2019s first episode, in 1969. He solidified his place on the series in the first season and has become beloved by audiences with his signature phrases (like “Me eat cookie!”) and songs (including “C Is For Cookie”).<\/p>\n The conversation will highlight Sesame Workshop\u2019s development slate, new shows, new distribution partners and its social impact work.<\/p>\n Cookie Monster and Wells are the latest additions to the TV Kids Summer Festival roster, alongside previously announced speakers 9 Story\u2019s Vince Commisso, Aardman\u2019s Sean Clarke,\u00a0Total Drama Island<\/em>\u00a0creators Tom McGillis and Jennifer Pertsch and CAKE\u2019s Ed Galton.<\/p>\n Look for more announcements in the coming weeks about key speakers and panels taking place during the TV Kids Summer Festival.
