Genius Brands International has put in place the production team for the animated series Shaq\u2019s Garage<\/em>, tapping Academy Award-nominated writer Joel Cohen (Toy Story<\/em>, Garfield: The Movie<\/em>, Evan Almighty<\/em>, Cheaper by the Dozen<\/em>, Daddy Day Camp<\/em>).<\/p>\n

Starring Shaquille O’Neal, Shaq\u2019s Garage<\/em> is currently in preproduction and will premiere on Kartoon Channel! in the U.S. this fall. Cohen serves as head writer and executive producer for the series.<\/p>\n

Multi-Emmy Award-winning Michael Maliani (Where on Earth Is Carmen Sandiego?<\/em>, The New Adventures of Madeline<\/em>, Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century<\/em>, Our Friend<\/em>, Martin<\/em>) is directing and producing. The series will be executive produced by O\u2019Neal, Cohen, Genius Brands, PRP and ABG Entertainment.<\/p>\n
