FilmRise has entered into a distribution deal with Nelvana for approximately 800 hours of children\u2019s programming.<\/p>\n
Per the deal, FilmRise will offer the package of Nelvana\u2019s children\u2019s programming to SVOD and AVOD platforms across the U.S., U.K., Ireland and Germany. The titles include anime shows Bakugan<\/em> and Beyblade<\/em>, as well as such iconic children\u2019s animated series as Babar<\/em>, Braceface<\/em>, Class of the Titans<\/em>, Rupert<\/em>, Tales from the Cryptkeeper<\/em>, Donkey Kong Country<\/em>, Rescue Heroes<\/em> and Franklin<\/em>, among others.<\/p>\n FilmRise plans to offer Nelvana\u2019s range of content to AVOD platforms such as IMDb TV, Tubi and Pluto in the U.S.; and in Germany and the U.K. on Rakuten, Joyn and TV NOW.<\/p>\n Max Einhorn, senior VP of acquisitions and co-productions at FilmRise, said: \u201cNelvana, a key player in the programming, merchandising and licensing space, is a perfect strategic fit for our latest initiative of bringing a wide array of high-quality children\u2019s content into the digital space, including the proliferation of family-friendly, co-viewing content on the FilmRise Streaming Network, the launch of the FilmRise Family FAST Channel, and the release of our feature-length family musical, Lilly\u2019s Light: The Movie<\/em>.”<\/p>\n Mellany Masterson, head of Nelvana Enterprises, said: \u201cNelvana\u2019s breadth of premium family-friendly programming lends itself perfectly to streaming platforms that are looking to expand their own offerings as consumers continue to look for content on various digital platforms.
