The star of the show is <em>Britain\u2019s Got Talent<\/em> finalist, magician and comedian Matt Edwards.<\/p>\n<p>Creator and executive producer Gabriele M. Walther produced the series for Germany\u2019s WDR.\u00a0<em>Pan Tau\u00a0<\/em>first appeared on TV screens in 1970.<\/p>\n<p>Peter Lang, VP ZDFE.junior, said: \u201cI am delighted that we are partnering again with Gabriele, who has the magic touch when it comes to creating children\u2019s content. The longstanding relationship has enriched our catalogue with successful titles like <em>Coconut, The Little Dragon<\/em> and <em>The Muscleteers<\/em> and we are proud to be able to offer this new enchanting series, <em>Pan Tau<\/em>, to our global clients.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Walther said: \u201cReinventing <em>Pan Tau<\/em> for today\u2019s young viewers as well as taking the fan base of the original series on a magical journey was our goal. The stories are newly developed with contemporary themes but the essence of the character remains the same.
