{"id":18768,"date":"2020-06-25T09:35:11","date_gmt":"2020-06-25T13:35:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvkids\/mondo-tv-iberoamerica-mb-producciones-align-animated-series\/"},"modified":"2020-06-25T11:25:24","modified_gmt":"2020-06-25T15:25:24","slug":"mondo-tv-iberoamerica-mb-producciones-align-for-animated-series","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvkids\/mondo-tv-iberoamerica-mb-producciones-align-for-animated-series\/","title":{"rendered":"Mondo TV Iberoam\u00e9rica &amp; MB Producciones Align for Animated Series"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mondo TV Iberoam\u00e9rica and MB Producciones have inked an agreement to develop and co-produce two new animated series, <em>Annie &amp; Carola<\/em> and <em>Masked Cinderella<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><em>Annie &amp; Carola<\/em> is at an advanced stage of development and negotiations are underway with a number of European TV channels. <em>Masked Cinderella<\/em>, which is still at an early stage of development, has been selected for the pitching sessions at Cartoon Forum 2020. Myriam Ballesteros (<em>Lucky Fred<\/em>, <em>Lola and Virginia<\/em>, <em>Sandra Story Detective<\/em>), founder of MB Producciones, originated and created both projects.<\/p>\n<p>Mondo TV Iberoam\u00e9rica Group made the deal with MB Producciones through its subsidiary Mondo TV Producciones Canarias, which will be responsible for the pre-production phase of the series. Per the agreement, MB Producciones will transfer to Mondo TV almost all of the IP of the two series, and Mondo TV will negotiate and conclude commercial agreements with third parties to obtain financing for production. Mondo TV will also be in charge of the international distribution of both shows.<\/p>\n<p>Maria Bonaria Fois, CEO of Mondo TV Iberoam\u00e9rica Group, said: \u201cThis is a very important alliance for Mondo TV Iberoam\u00e9rica Group. Both <em>Annie &amp; Carola<\/em> and <em>Masked Cinderella<\/em> have enormous 360-degree development potential; we believe they offer an excellent opportunity to create successful high-quality cross-media brands.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ballesteros added: &#8220;I am delighted to be announcing this partnership. These are two series in which I deeply believe and Mondo TV Iberoam\u00e9rica, with its extensive experience in international production and distribution, is the ideal partner.
