The BAFTA-winning animation and VFX studio Jellyfish Pictures has opened its newest state-of-the-art facility in South London.<\/p>\n
The new studio seats 200 artists and, in addition to its other four studios spread across South London and Sheffield, will be the company\u2019s official headquarters. The new studio is designed to promote collaborative working and creative exploration.<\/p>\n
Spread across one floor, the studio sprawls a total of 100 meters with over a third of the facility dedicated to staff breakout areas, meeting rooms, plush client areas and a state-of-the-art screening room boasting a 4K projector and Dolby Atmos sound.<\/p>\n
The move sees Jellyfish Pictures close its Soho headquarters and is the company\u2019s second expansion of the year, following the opening of its Sheffield studio in May.<\/p>\n
Phil Dobree, CEO of Jellyfish Pictures, commented, \u201cWith a spate of big projects coming in, including a feature animation, we needed to expand and the business incentives to move out of Soho were overwhelming. Jellyfish Pictures is a wonderful melting pot of cultures and creatives so it was important to me I delivered a space where our talent could thrive. Something that couldn\u2019t be achieved in Soho, the new space spreads across one long 100 meter floor, encouraging everyone to share tips, ideas and collaborate. It\u2019s also great to be situated in an area where we can actively contribute to the burgeoning creative industries and be more hands on with the community.\u201d<\/p>\n
