{"id":17802,"date":"2019-12-20T09:36:14","date_gmt":"2019-12-20T14:36:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvkids\/nent-group-finalizes-kids-content-pact-nbcuniversal\/"},"modified":"2019-12-20T09:36:14","modified_gmt":"2019-12-20T14:36:14","slug":"nent-group-finalizes-kids-content-pact-with-nbcuniversal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvkids\/nent-group-finalizes-kids-content-pact-with-nbcuniversal\/","title":{"rendered":"NENT Group Finalizes Kids\u2019 Content Pact with NBCUniversal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nordic Entertainment Group (NENT Group) has signed an agreement with NBCUniversal International Distribution that secures a wide range of kids&#8217; and family content from NBCUniversal for NENT Group\u2019s Viaplay streaming service and Viasat pay-TV channels.<\/p>\n<p>Per the deal, Viaplay viewers will be the first in the Nordic region to have access to upcoming DreamWorks Animation series, including <em>Where\u2019s Waldo?<\/em>, <em>Cleopatra in Space<\/em> and <em>Dragons: Defenders of Berk<\/em>, as well as NBCUniversal animated series such as <em>Curious George<\/em>. The deal also brings the DreamWorks Animation film catalog and library titles from Illumination to Viaplay and Viasat, in addition to more than 30 Barbie films.<\/p>\n<p>NENT Group and NBCUniversal extended their long-term exclusive content partnership in March, enabling new films from NBCUniversal to reach viewers in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland first on Viaplay and Viasat.<\/p>\n<p>Filippa Wallestam, NENT Group chief content officer, said: \u201cHigh-quality kids content is a cornerstone of Viaplay\u2019s unique offering, and this latest agreement with NBCUniversal means that our younger viewers can experience even more fantastic entertainment featuring their favorite characters. This has been a groundbreaking year for NENT Group, in which we have agreed long-term content partnerships with many of the world\u2019s biggest studios.
