The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) has announced the winners of this year\u2019s British Academy Children\u2019s Awards, which celebrate the best in children\u2019s media.<\/p>\n
Among the first-time winners at the 2019 ceremony was Emily Burnett, who won the performer BAFTA for her role in The Dumping Ground<\/em>. Lindsey Russell won the presenter award for Blue Peter<\/em> and Bella Ramsay picked up the young performer BAFTA for her role in The Worst Witch<\/em>, for which Dirk Campbell won in the director category.<\/p>\n Leaving Care<\/em>, a coming-of-age film following two care leavers as they navigate a series of firsts without the help of a family, won the content for change and teen BAFTAs. Horrible Histories<\/em> won the comedy category for the sixth time, while the drama award went to Creeped Out<\/em>. For the seventh time since the category was introduced in 2006, CBeebies won the channel category.<\/p>\n Hilda picked up the best animation award, while the BAFTA for international animation went to Teen Titans Go!<\/em>, which follows the adventures of the young Titans while they are trying to save the world. Preschool animation was won by Numberblocks<\/em>. Tee and Mo: Help Our Little World<\/em>, featuring an animated monkey and his mum, won short form. Ferne and Rory\u2019s Vet Tales<\/em> won the preschool live-action award and the international live-action category was won by The Odd Squad<\/em>.<\/p>\n Play Your Pets Right<\/em> won in the entertainment category, the children\u2019s DIY show The Dengineer<\/em>s collected the BAFTA in the new factual-entertainment category and Finding my Family: Holocaust<\/em> won the factual category.<\/p>\n The BAFTA for feature film was scooped up by Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse<\/em>. The Amazing World of Gumball<\/em> won in the writer category.
