Portfolio Entertainment has unveiled its slate of new kids\u2019 content ahead of MIPCOM, including the most recent addition to its catalog, Hero Elementary<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The series features an autistic lead character. \u201cCartoons have always been a fantastic medium for introducing important social issues to young audiences in a manner they can relate to, and we\u2019re proud to have the opportunity to share this with kids around the world,\u201d said Donnie MacIntyre, Portfolio Entertainment\u2019s VP of sales and business development.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re coming to MIPCOM this year with a robust slate of live-action and animated content for children of all ages that we can\u2019t wait to share with the market,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Starring one of children\u2019s literature\u2019s most enduring characters, The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That!<\/em> whisks kids away to many exotic locales\u2014anywhere from an African jungle to outer space\u2014to learn all about science and natural history.<\/p>\n

Addison<\/em>, meanwhile, stars a young female inventor and her inquisitive pals as they work together to help their neighbors and solve mysteries in their community. The series, targeted at kids aged 4 to 6, has been licensed to international broadcasters and SVODs including AB Groupe (France), Azoomee (the U.S., the U.K., Sweden, South Africa, the Netherlands) and Discovery (MENA). Season two includes 25 new 11-minute episodes.<\/p>\n

So You Want To Be?<\/em>, produced by Texas-based Champion Entertainment, is a modern remake of the classic unscripted kids series that aired on Discovery networks around the world in the 1990s. The series is designed to open young audiences\u2019 eyes to the wide variety of exciting career opportunities available in today\u2019s modern world. Through a combination of sketches, animated graphics and firsthand accounts from actual professionals, kids will be introduced to career options ranging from airplane pilot to fashion designer to the engineers who make the spacesuits astronauts wear into outer space.<\/p>\n

Season four of Portfolio\u2019s international hit series Do You Know?<\/em> is coming to MIPJunior and MIPCOM with 20 brand-new episodes and five specials. Produced by WonderTV for Cbeebies, Do You Know?<\/em> stars YouTube sensation Maddie Moate as she answers some of the most pressing scientific questions for kids. The series has been sold to broadcasters all around the world, including Discovery in MENA, NOGA in Israel, AB Groupe in France and CJ ENM in South Korea.<\/p>\n

Long-running PBS Kids series Cyberchase<\/em> is returning for a 12th season. Produced by WNET, Cyberchase<\/em> is filled with STEM-focused action where a fearless team of kids fends off an evil computer virus and his attempts to take over the digital world in which they live. Twelve new episodes are included in season 12, joining the series that has sold to National Geographic Channel (MENA), CTC Media (Russia) and HOP! (Israel), among many others.<\/p>\n
