Emmy Award-winning producer Eryk Casemiro has been appointed senior VP of Nickelodeon preschool.<\/p>\n
In his new role, Casemiro will lead the network\u2019s preschool production and development across all formats and platforms spanning digital, TV and film, and he will also have oversight of the preschool executives in charge (EICs). Based at Nickelodeon\u2019s Burbank headquarters, he will report to the company\u2019s executive VP of animation, Ramsey Naito.<\/p>\n
Casemiro will continue to serve as an executive producer for Nickelodeon\u2019s forthcoming reboot of the iconic kids\u2019 series Rugrats<\/em>, which will include all-new adventures with the original cast and introduce a new world of characters. A Rugrats<\/em> alum, Casemiro was a producer on the original series during his time as senior VP of creative affairs at Klasky-Csupo Productions.<\/p>\n While at Klasky-Csupo Productions, Casemiro was also responsible for the development and production of classic Nickelodeon shows such as The Wild Thornberrys<\/em>, Rocket Power<\/em>, As Told By Ginger<\/em> and All Grown Up!<\/em> He also led the development and production of several feature films for Paramount Pictures, including Rugrats Go Wild<\/em>, The Wild Thornberrys Movie<\/em>, Rugrats in Paris: The Movie<\/em> and The Rugrats Movie<\/em>.<\/p>\n Most recently, Casemiro was the chief creative officer for Zodiak Kids Studios, comprised of Marathon Media and Tele-Image in Paris, and the Foundation in London, where he produced Kody Kapow<\/em> for Sprout NBC\/Universal; Lilybuds<\/em> for France T\u00e9l\u00e9visions and Discovery Kids Latin America; and Magiki<\/em> for DeA Kids and Planeta. Prior to that, he was chief creative officer for Marathon Media, overseeing the production of Get Blake<\/em> for Nickelodeon Global and LoliRock<\/em>, a co-production with Disney and France T\u00e9l\u00e9visions.<\/p>\n Casemiro also worked as a writer\/producer on various other series, including OLIVIA<\/em>, based on Ian Falconer’s award-winning book; Poppy Cat<\/em>, adapted from illustrator Lara Jones’ picture book series and currently seen in 170 countries across the globe; and The Mr. Men Show<\/em>, adapted from Roger Hargreaves’ Little Miss and Mr. Men<\/em> book series, for which he received his 11th Emmy nomination.<\/p>\n Naito said, \u201cIn addition to being a longtime collaborator and friend of Nickelodeon, Eryk is an immensely creative executive who has worked on some of the most beloved animated kids\u2019 properties around the world.
