Belvision and Dupuis Edition & Audiovisuel have teamed up to develop a new 3D series adapted from the Andr\u00e9 Franquin-created Marsupilami universe.<\/p>\n

Developed in close collaboration with comic book publisher Dupuis, the French-Belgian co-production promises to respect Franquin\u2019s iconic Marsupilami character. The action-adventure-comedy series is directed by Philippe Vidal (The Garfield Show<\/em>, Boule & Bill<\/em>). It will be pitched at the Cartoon Forum 2019 that is set to take place in Toulouse, France from September 16 to 19. Mediatoon\u00a0Distribution is handling international sales.<\/p>\n

Ma\u00efa Tubiana and Caroline Duvochel from Dupuis Edition & Audiovisuel and Rapha\u00eble Ingberg from Belvision said: \u201cThe Marsupilami, the imaginary animal Franquin created in 1951, has enjoyed many adventures. The public has come to learn a lot about this mythical creature: his extraordinary aptitudes, his life in the heart of the Palombian forest, his strong sense of family, his amused curiosity towards his rare human neighbors.
