DHX Media and Mattel have given the green light for a 26-episode sophomore run of Polly Pocket<\/em>, an animated series based on the micro-scale doll brand of the same name, and both seasons have sold to Universal Kids.<\/p>\n

The series is slated to begin airing on the channel in the U.S. this summer. Season one of the series has sold across the world, including recently to Hulu (U.S.), Super RTL (Germany) and HBO Europe (Portugal). In the new Polly Pocket<\/em> series, Polly inherits a magic locket that gives her the power to shrink to four inches tall. Season two of the show brings a brand-new format (26×11 min.) as Polly explores her new Tiny Power.<\/p>\n

Polly Pocket<\/em> is produced at DHX Media\u2019s Vancouver studio with Shea Fontana (DC Super Hero Girls<\/em>, Doc McStuffins<\/em>) as story editor.<\/p>\n

The creation of the Polly Pocket<\/em> animated series is part of a co-development, production, distribution and licensing deal between the two companies for new original content inspired by Mattel properties. In addition to Polly Pocket<\/em>, new animated series from the collaboration include Bob the Builder<\/em>, Fireman Sam<\/em> and Little People<\/em>.<\/p>\n
