Reboot Set for Nickelodeon"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nickelodeon is reimagining its <em>Are You Afraid of the Dark?<\/em> anthology as a brand-new limited series that will premiere later this year.<\/p>\n<p>Featuring three hour-long episodes, the reboot will introduce a new Midnight Society, a group of kids who gather together to tell terrifying tales. This time, they dive into a frightening legend about the Carnival of Doom, only to have the events of the story come to life. Production on the new\u00a0<em>Are You Afraid of the Dark?<\/em>\u00a0is scheduled to begin this month in Vancouver, Canada. The series is slated for an October premiere.<\/p>\n<p>Produced by ACE Entertainment, <em>Are You Afraid of the Dark?<\/em> is written by BenDavid Grabinski (<em>Skiptrace<\/em>) and directed by Dean Israelite (<em>Power Rangers<\/em> movie, <em>Project Almanac<\/em>). Starring as the new Midnight Society members are Sam Ashe Arnold (<em>Best.Worst.Weekend.Ever.<\/em>), Miya Cech (<em>Rim of the World<\/em>, <em>Always Be My Maybe<\/em>), Tamara Smart (<em>Artemis Fowl<\/em>,<em> The Worst Witch<\/em>), Jeremy Taylor (<em>It<\/em>, <em>Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween<\/em>) and Lyliana Wray (<em>Top Gun: Maverick<\/em>, <em>black-ish<\/em>).
