{"id":16507,"date":"2019-06-05T09:56:53","date_gmt":"2019-06-05T13:56:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvkids\/toon-cup-app-celebrate-womens-world-cup\/"},"modified":"2019-06-05T10:34:44","modified_gmt":"2019-06-05T14:34:44","slug":"toon-cup-app-to-celebrate-womens-world-cup","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvkids\/toon-cup-app-to-celebrate-womens-world-cup\/","title":{"rendered":"Toon Cup App to Celebrate Women\u2019s World Cup"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Cartoon Network Toon Cup app is celebrating the kickoff of the 2019 FIFA Women\u2019s World Cup with a lineup of new characters.<\/p>\n<p>The app\u2019s latest update will see new Cartoon Network characters\u2014including Kelsey (<em>Craig of the Creek<\/em>) and Raven (<em>Teen Titans Go!<\/em>)\u2014signed to the team, joining Toon Cup stalwarts Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup (<em>The Powerpuff Girls<\/em>), Marceline and Princess Bubblegum (<em>Adventure Time<\/em>) and Anais (<em>The Amazing World of Gumball<\/em>). Gumball\u2019s mom Nicole will make her first-ever app appearance as the new referee. There will also be more unlockable characters.<\/p>\n<p>Further, there will be pitch-side and center circle advertising and sponsorship opportunities available on the Toon Cup app, as well as mid-rolls in between game events and tournaments.<\/p>\n<p>The app saw 72 million matches completed and more than 15 minutes average dwell time during the 2018 World Cup. To date, it has amassed more than 20.5 million downloads.
