Libbie Doherty has been appointed head of children\u2019s production at the ABC, overseeing a roster of Australian children\u2019s content across ABC KIDS, ABC ME, ABC KIDS listen and on digital and third-party platforms.<\/p>\n
Doherty joined ABC Children\u2019s in 2015 and has been instrumental in the creation of such shows as Mustangs FC<\/em>, My Year 7 Life<\/em>, Grace Beside Me<\/em>, Hardball<\/em> and the upcoming sci-fi series The Unlisted<\/em>. As head of children\u2019s production, she will commission more than 350 hours of content across the ABC\u2019s two children\u2019s TV channels and will oversee in-house development and production across platforms.<\/p>\n Michael Carrington, acting ABC director of entertainment and specialist, said: \u201cLibbie has been an invaluable member of ABC Children\u2019s, bringing huge levels of innovation to the team and leading many successful diversity projects such as International Day of the Girl and the DisRupted initiative.<\/p>\n \u201cShe is a champion of Australian children\u2019s content and has been instrumental in creating the ABC\u2019s world-class portfolio of programs that reflect and celebrate children\u2019s lives and experiences.
