{"id":16470,"date":"2019-06-03T09:59:44","date_gmt":"2019-06-03T13:59:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvkids\/chuggington-gets-sixth-season-toy-line\/"},"modified":"2019-06-03T10:30:00","modified_gmt":"2019-06-03T14:30:00","slug":"chuggington-gets-sixth-season-toy-line","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvkids\/chuggington-gets-sixth-season-toy-line\/","title":{"rendered":"Chuggington Gets Sixth Season &#038; New Toy Line"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Production has commenced on season six of the Herschend Entertainment Studios animated series <em>Chuggington<\/em>, and Alpha Group has been appointed as the global master toy partner for the show.<\/p>\n<p>The multiyear collaboration with Alpha Group will deliver a range of toys set to debut in 2020, <em>Chuggington<\/em>\u2019s tenth year on air. The launch of the toy line leads the series\u2019 licensing and retail program, which will feature new content from season six.\u00a0A broad range of toys, including vehicles, track sets, radio control, plush, games, electronics, smart toys, novelty and seasonal products, are all in development.<\/p>\n<p>The preschool series, which follows the adventures of three trainee trains, is available on broadcast networks and streaming platforms in 178 countries. Michael G. Stern (<em>Doc McStuffins<\/em>, <em>Sofia the First<\/em>, <em>Jake and the Neverland Pirates<\/em>) will serve as the head writer and co-executive producer for season six, together with key creative and production personnel from earlier seasons. Julie Phillips, Herschend Entertainment Studios\u2019 VP, will also serve as executive producer.<\/p>\n<p>The sixth season will consist of 52 10-minute episodes with new elements, storytelling styles and formats, including a 3D visual of the fictional world.
