{"id":16360,"date":"2019-05-15T09:54:27","date_gmt":"2019-05-15T13:54:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvkids\/lego-city-adventures-reboot-premiere-nickelodeon\/"},"modified":"2019-05-15T09:59:27","modified_gmt":"2019-05-15T13:59:27","slug":"lego-city-adventures-all-that-reboot-to-premiere-on-nickelodeon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvkids\/lego-city-adventures-all-that-reboot-to-premiere-on-nickelodeon\/","title":{"rendered":"Nickelodeon Slates Premieres for LEGO City Adventures, All That Reboot"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nickelodeon is set to debut both LEGO <em>City Adventures<\/em>, a new CG-animated comedy series, and a brand-new version of the sketch show <em>All That<\/em> this June.<\/p>\n<p>The ten-part LEGO <em>City Adventures\u00a0<\/em>series shows life within the sprawling and diverse LEGO City community while following the adventures of its citizens, including the overly heroic Sergeant Duke DeTain, fire chief Freya McCloud, grumpy street sweeper Shirley Keeper, overeager handyman Harl Hubbs, doorman Tippy Dorman, city mayor Solomon Fleck and skateboarding police chief Percival \u201cWheelie\u201d Wheeler. LEGO <em>City Adventures<\/em> is slated to premiere on Nickelodeon on Saturday, June 22, at 11:30 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>Created and produced by LEGO Group, LEGO <em>City Adventures<\/em> is also produced by Flaunt Animation in Scotland and Passion Pictures in France. It was written by Jon Colton Barry (<em>Phineas and Ferb<\/em>), Steven Banks (<em>SpongeBob SquarePants<\/em>), Jamie Moyer (<em>Modern Family<\/em>) and Brian Hunt (<em>Second City Chicago<\/em>). Following its launch in the U.S., the series will debut in a number of Nickelodeon\u2019s international territories in the fall.<\/p>\n<p>Jill Wilfert, VP of licensing and entertainment for LEGO Group, said: \u201cLEGO City is our strongest evergreen property globally, and for the first time we are leveraging episodic content to establish characters and personalities that bring the city to life. We\u2019re thrilled to partner with Nickelodeon for this important evolution of LEGO City given how well positioned they are to engage children and families with relevant programming.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Layla Lewis, senior VP of global acquisitions and content partnerships at Nickelodeon, added: \u201cThe LEGO brand is known for creating imaginative and innovative content for kids, and we are excited to collaborate with the LEGO Group to bring the unique characters, style and humor of LEGO <em>City Adventures<\/em> to life on Nickelodeon.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Returning to Nickelodeon on Saturday, June 15, at 8:30 p.m, the <em>All That<\/em> reboot&#8217;s premiere will feature an all-new cast and a performance by the Jonas Brothers. <em>Saturday Night Live<\/em>&#8216;s Kenan Thompson, who starred in the original <em>All That<\/em>, is executive producing the sketch-comedy series.
