{"id":16233,"date":"2019-04-22T09:47:34","date_gmt":"2019-04-22T13:47:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvkids\/radio-disney-music-awards-return-live-june\/"},"modified":"2019-04-22T10:40:49","modified_gmt":"2019-04-22T14:40:49","slug":"first-time-live-telecast-for-radio-disney-music-awards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvkids\/first-time-live-telecast-for-radio-disney-music-awards\/","title":{"rendered":"First-Time Live Telecast for Radio Disney Music Awards"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Radio Disney Music Awards are back this summer for a seventh year, though for the first time will air as a live event, newly rebranded as ARDYs: A Radio Disney Music Celebration.<\/p>\n<p>The music event for kids and families will air on Disney Channel on Sunday, June 16, at 8 p.m. Sofia Carson (<em>Descendants<\/em>, <em>Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists<\/em>) is slated to host the event, which will be telecast live on Disney Channel and DisneyNOW, with a simulcast on Radio Disney, for the first time ever.<\/p>\n<p>The ARDYs will celebrate the biggest and rising stars in music, television and movies. Beginning May 20, and during the live ARDYs show, fans are invited to be part of the planning for the live telecast by visiting the DisneyNOW app, the Radio Disney app or Disney.com\/ARDYs to participate in polls that will determine certain elements of the show.<\/p>\n<p>Emmy-nominated Casey Patterson Entertainment (<em>Lip Sync Battle<\/em>, MTV Movie Awards) will serve as the show\u2019s executive producer.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;re creating a next-level celebration of music to entertain and inspire families, and over the next many weeks, we&#8217;ll bring our fans into the celebration planning, getting their opinions during pre-production and bring it all to life, live, during the show,&#8221;
