{"id":16019,"date":"2019-03-19T10:10:54","date_gmt":"2019-03-19T14:10:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvkids\/dhx-media-brings-raft-new-kids-offerings-miptv\/"},"modified":"2019-03-19T10:17:20","modified_gmt":"2019-03-19T14:17:20","slug":"dhx-media-brings-raft-of-new-kids-offerings-to-miptv","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvkids\/dhx-media-brings-raft-of-new-kids-offerings-to-miptv\/","title":{"rendered":"DHX Media Brings Raft of New Kids\u2019 Offerings to MIPTV"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>DHX Media is arriving at MIPTV with a slate of new animated and live-action kids\u2019 shows, including tween gymnastics series<em> Up in the Air<\/em>, from the creators of <em>The Next Step<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><em>Up in the Air<\/em>, the latest live-action series from producer Frank van Keeken (<em>The Next Step<\/em>, <em>Lost and Found Music Studios<\/em>), has been greenlit by DHX Television\u2019s Family Channel in Canada and picked up by CBBC for the U.K. It follows the story of 12-year-old Jenny, a gymnast struggling to follow in the footsteps of her mother and grandfather, who were both competitive gymnasts on the world stage. It is set to begin filming in the spring.<\/p>\n<p>Also on DHX\u2019s slate is <em>Bajillionaires<\/em>, a live-action kids\u2019 comedy about a group of neighborhood friends who create inventions in their parents\u2019 garages. Led by 12-year-old CEO Max Graham, they run a fledgling tech start-up that touts their whimsical inventions. Produced by Six Eleven Media with Family Channel, the show is set to premiere in the U.S. on Universal Kids in the fall.<\/p>\n<p><em>Rev &amp; Roll<\/em>, a DHX offering for a younger set, follows the adventures of 8-year-old Rev and his truck best friend Rumble, as they navigate a world where vehicles live side-by-side with humans. Co-commissioned by DHX Television&#8217;s Family Jr. in Canada and Alpha Group&#8217;s Jiajia channel in China, <em>Rev &amp; Roll<\/em> is also set to premiere in the fall.<\/p>\n<p>Josh Scherba, president of DHX Media, said: \u201cAfter recently announcing several new original animated series, including <em>Dorg Van Dango<\/em>, <em>Chip and Potato<\/em> and <em>Rev &amp; Roll<\/em>, we\u2019re excited to feature those shows at MIPTV, along with our latest live-action offerings, <em>Up in the Air<\/em> and <em>Bajillionaires<\/em>.
