Sesame Workshop and MetLife Foundation are expanding their \u201cDream, Save, Do: Financial Empowerment for Families\u201d initiative to reach children and adults in Brazil, Mexico and Japan.<\/p>\n
The new phase of the initiative will see broadcast and digital channel content developed to build awareness and influence audiences on a national scale. Further, community-level initiatives will engage lower-income communities through in-school programs and community activities where families spend time together.<\/p>\n
Sesame Workshop and MetLife Foundation have collaborated on the \u201cDream, Save, Do\u201d initiative since 2015. It currently spans nine countries in disparate regions, helping children and the adults in their lives set goals, aspire to achieve them, make plans and understand how their choices can help them reach their dreams. The initial phase of the initiative used Sesame Workshop\u2019s research-driven process and Sesame Street<\/em> characters to connect with audiences.<\/p>\n Dennis White, president and CEO of MetLife Foundation, said: “The summative results of the initial phase of the initiative have been very promising, showing that children are successfully learning a variety of concepts core to ‘Dream, Save, Do’\u2014particularly the need for planning and the steps involved in achieving goals.
