They will begin airing on Tuesday, February 5, in the U.K. Select markets will air the specials in Mandarin.<\/p>\n<p>Nickelodeon\u2019s global network, including the U.S., is partnering with free-to-air broadcasters in multiple markets to air the <em>Peppa Pig<\/em> Chinese New Year specials, including ABC in Australia, TVNZ in New Zealand, Channel 5 Milkshake\u00a0in the U.K., RAI in Italy, France TV in France, Clan in Spain, Treehouse in Canada and ETV in South Africa. It will air in the local language on YoYo in Taiwan and nowTV in Hong Kong. VOD platforms will also air according to their planned schedules.<\/p>\n<p>eOne\u2019s strategy to celebrate Chinese New Year \u201cYear of the Pig\u201d with <em>Peppa Pig<\/em> throughout 2019 also includes a cinema release of the Alibaba Pictures-produced<em> Peppa Celebrates Chinese New Year<\/em> in China on February 5. Exclusive Chinese New Year merchandise also will be available, including the first Panda Twin toys. Further, eOne is teaming up with Tmall on retail activations that will be supported by a marketing campaign and a cross partnership with Merlin Entertainments\u2019 new Peppa Pig World of Play indoor attraction in Shanghai.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re excited to unveil our latest plans to celebrate Chinese New Year with <em>Peppa Pig<\/em> fans around the world, thanks to a ground-breaking campaign we are rolling out with our broadcast partners around the globe,\u201d said Monica Candiani, eOne&#8217;s executive VP of content sales Family &amp; Brands.<\/p>\n<p>Olivier Dumont, president of eOne Family &amp; Brands, added: \u201cAiring <em>Peppa Pig<\/em> in Mandarin across our global broadcast platform will be a company first.
