{"id":15335,"date":"2018-11-09T11:04:39","date_gmt":"2018-11-09T16:04:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvkids\/waffle-wonder-dog-picked-international-channels\/"},"modified":"2018-11-09T11:04:39","modified_gmt":"2018-11-09T16:04:39","slug":"waffle-the-wonder-dog-picked-up-by-international-channels","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvkids\/waffle-the-wonder-dog-picked-up-by-international-channels\/","title":{"rendered":"Waffle the Wonder Dog Picked Up by International Channels"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>DHX Media has licensed <em>Waffle the Wonder Dog<\/em> to ZDF in Germany and 12 other international channels.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to ZDF, seasons one and two of <em>Waffle the Wonder Dog<\/em> have been picked up by VRT for Ketnet (Belgium), NPO Zappelin (Netherlands), NRK (Norway), DR (Denmark), Canal+ for Piwi+ (France) and Minimax (Central and Eastern Europe). Season one is also headed to SVT (Sweden), RTP (Portugal), HOP! (Israel), CJ ENM (South Korea), ABC (Australia) and TVOkids (Canada).<\/p>\n<p><em>Waffle the Wonder Dog<\/em> will begin airing on KiKA December 3 and on ZDF February 2, 2019.<\/p>\n<p><em>Waffle the Wonder Dog<\/em>, a live-action preschool series about a family that adopts a talking dog, was recently greenlit for a second season by CBeebies. The show is produced by Darrall Macqueen.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re really happy that broadcasters are rolling out <em>Waffle the Wonder Dog<\/em> for viewers worldwide,\u201d said Jerry Diaz, the VP of distribution for DHX Media. \u201cDarrall Macqueen has produced a terrific, heartwarming and funny show for families to enjoy. With a second season already in production, we\u2019re confident the little talking pooch, Waffle, will continue to win the hearts of viewers around the world.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Billy Macqueen, co-founder of Darrall Macqueen, added: \u201cThe adventures of <em>Waffle the Wonder Dog<\/em> are full of fun and emotion with stories that will resonate with a global audience.
