{"id":14899,"date":"2018-09-10T10:34:38","date_gmt":"2018-09-10T14:34:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvkids\/disney-junior-adds-new-seasons-lineups\/"},"modified":"2018-09-10T10:36:50","modified_gmt":"2018-09-10T14:36:50","slug":"disney-junior-adds-new-seasons-muppet-babies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvkids\/disney-junior-adds-new-seasons-muppet-babies\/","title":{"rendered":"Disney Junior Adds New Seasons of Muppet Babies &#038; More"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Disney Junior has ordered additional seasons of the animated series <em>Muppet Babies<\/em>, <em>Vampirina<\/em> and <em>Puppy Dog Pals<\/em>, while production has begun on a new comedy for Disney Channel.<\/p>\n<p><em>Muppet Babies<\/em>, which premiered on Disney Junior in March, was picked up for a sophomore season. <em>Vampirina<\/em> and <em>Puppy Dog Pals<\/em>, meanwhile, are both back for season three.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>Vampirina<\/em> character also debuted at Disney California Adventure park at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim and at Mickey\u2019s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in Magic Kingdom park at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.<\/p>\n<p>Joe D&#8217;Ambrosia, the senior VP of original programming at Disney Junior, said, &#8220;We&#8217;re privileged to work with an amazing group of talented creators every day. Our Disney Junior production teams continue to deliver a diverse group of aspirational characters and entertaining, heartfelt stories to which our youngest viewers have developed a remarkable emotional connection. We look forward to more of their imaginative stories on-screen and to new opportunities for preschoolers and parents to extend that experience.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In addition, production started on the multi-camera series <em>Sydney to the Max<\/em>, slated to debut on Disney Channel in early 2019. The intergenerational father\/daughter comedy comes from Mark Reisman (<em>Frasier<\/em>, <em>The Exes<\/em>, <em>Wings<\/em>). The show follows the antics of middle schooler Sydney and her protective, doting father, Max. <em>Sydney to the Max<\/em> is produced by\u00a0It&#8217;s A Laugh Productions.<\/p>\n<p>Jonas Agin, the VP of original series at Disney Channels, commented, &#8220;With <em>Sydney to the Max<\/em>, Mark Reisman has given us a series full of heart, humor and honesty.
