iQIYI has signed a new multiyear Nickelodeon content agreement for mainland China with Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN).<\/p>\n
Under the expanded pact, iQIYI has exclusive streaming rights for Mandarin and English Nick series in mainland China on its platforms for kids, with four times more programming than the previous deal. Offerings will include the latest seasons of Shimmer and Shine<\/em>, Blaze and the Monster Machines<\/em>, SpongeBob SquarePants<\/em> and Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles<\/em>.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are delighted to be adding this roster of new Nickelodeon content across our platforms for kids,\u201d said Geng Danhao, the senior VP of iQIYI. \u201cAs iQIYI seeks to expand our selection of high-quality children\u2019s content, it is more important than ever to partner with world-leading producers of children\u2019s programming like Nickelodeon, a beloved children\u2019s brand in the U.S., whose content has strong appeal and relevance with the Chinese audience.\u201d<\/p>\n Mark Whitehead, the president and managing director for the Asia Pacific at VIMN, added: \u201cChina remains a strategic market for Viacom.
