The sophomore season is currently in production, and two new 30-minute <em>Llama Llama<\/em> specials are also in development. One special is Mother\u2019s Day-themed.<\/p>\n<p>Also on board season two is an award-winning team of producers, including Jane Startz\u00a0(<em>Ella Enchanted<\/em>, <em>Tuck Everlasting, The Indian in the Cupboard<\/em>,<em> The Magic School Bus\u00a0<\/em>series)<em>,<\/em>\u00a0Andy Heyward\u00a0(<em>Inspector Gadget<\/em>,<em> The Real Ghostbusters<\/em>,<em> Strawberry Shortcake<\/em>,<em> Madeline<\/em>,<em> Carmen Sandiego<\/em>) and\u00a0Reed Duncan.\u00a0Emmy Award-winning writer\u00a0Joe Purdy (<em>Arthur<\/em>, <em>Hey Arnold!<\/em>) serves as the head writer and Disney alum\u00a0Ruben Aquino\u00a0(<em>Frozen<\/em>,<em> The Lion King<\/em>, <em>Aladdin<\/em>,<em> Mulan<\/em>) is art director for the series.<em> Llama Llama<\/em> is based on the best-selling books by author and illustrator Anna Dewdney.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith the green light from Netflix and the commitment from Jennifer Garner to star again, we have taken the next step in creating an evergreen global franchise for\u00a0<em>Llama Llama<\/em>, and 2018 will no doubt be a banner year for the brand with a second season in the works and a worldwide retail program set to launch,\u201d stated Heyward, the chairman and CEO of Genius Brands International. \u201cEveryone involved in the development and production of season one of\u00a0<em>Llama Llama<\/em>\u2014from our cream-of-the-crop production team to the passion that Jennifer brought to the project\u2014went over and beyond to create a truly enchanting series that has resulted in a social media firestorm of support, resonated with parents and children all over the world, and the production of a second season.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Garner commented: \u201cI\u00a0love Anna Dewdney\u2019s award-winning, joyful\u00a0<em>Llama Llama<\/em>\u00a0books and am proud to voice Mama Llama on this very special series for Netflix.
