{"id":14501,"date":"2018-06-12T09:51:09","date_gmt":"2018-06-12T13:51:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvkids\/nickelodeon-international-rolls-two-new-apps\/"},"modified":"2018-06-12T09:51:09","modified_gmt":"2018-06-12T13:51:09","slug":"nickelodeon-international-rolls-out-two-new-apps","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvkids\/nickelodeon-international-rolls-out-two-new-apps\/","title":{"rendered":"Nickelodeon International Rolls Out Two New Apps"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nickelodeon International has launched for global users two apps, one inspired by <em>Dora the Explorer<\/em> and the other football-themed.<\/p>\n<p><em>Dora\u2019s Worldwide Adventure<\/em> is an educational geography app.\u00a0<em>Nick Football Champions<\/em>\u00a0celebrates\u00a0global soccer season and invites kids to team up with Nickelodeon characters to play the sport.<\/p>\n<p>Available in 12 languages, both apps can be downloaded in markets outside of the U.S. for iOS and Android.\u00a0<em>Dora\u2019s Worldwide Adventure<\/em>\u00a0introduces preschoolers to geography, teaching them to learn about and celebrate different cultures with Dora, Boots, Swiper and other characters from the series. At launch, players can explore Australia, Brazil, China, Italy, Japan, the U.K. and the U.S.\u00a0via the app.<\/p>\n<p><em>Nick Football Champions<\/em>\u00a0allows kids to play soccer as their favorite Nickelodeon characters. They can win keys to unlock characters and Nickelodeon worlds.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBoth of these new games tap into what\u2019s important to our audience,\u201d said Kate Sils, the VP of multiplatform and brand engagement for Nickelodeon International. \u201cOur research shows 89 percent of kids ages 6 to 8 are curious about the world. We created\u00a0<em>Dora\u2019s Worldwide Adventure<\/em>\u00a0with that global interest and curiosity in mind. Similarly, we know that the majority of parents with children ages 6 to 11 report doing everything with their kids and that football is the most-watched sport of parents\u00a0with children in this demo.
