RUV, Iceland\u2019s public broadcaster, has picked up the original ten episodes of the animated Tulipop<\/em> short, bringing the brand from YouTube to linear television.<\/p>\n

The episodes, which were available originally on the Tulipop<\/em> YouTube channel, have been dubbed in Icelandic. Additionally, ten new episodes will be co-produced for the YouTube channel by WildBrain, with Tobi Wilson and Brydie Lee-Kennedy as scriptwriters.<\/p>\n

Four months after its launch, the Tulipop<\/em> YouTube channel has reached 1 million views. A 52×11-minute series is currently in development.\u00a0Tulipop<\/em> was created by Icelandic illustrator Signy Kolbeinsdottir and marketing expert Helga Arnadottir in 2010.<\/p>\n

Arnadottir, co-founder of Tulipop<\/em>, said, \u201cIt was always our ambition to extend the world of\u00a0Tulipop<\/em>\u00a0into animation so we are thrilled that so many people around the globe have taken our beloved creations to their hearts.
