HEIHEI snapped up the rights for the show&#8217;s first season, which will become available on the service in April 2018.<\/p>\n<p>Bruce Kane, the founder of BES Animation Studio, commented: &#8220;We are extremely proud of <em>Kitty is Not a Cat<\/em>. We set out to create a show that reflected what local urban culture looked like for 6- to 10-year-olds, set to its own unique style and musicality. We believe we\u2019ve created a show filled with colorful, funny and rich characters that will resonate with kids and parents alike. We are thrilled that the show has found a wonderful new broadcast home on HEIHEI, a digital platform we are very excited to be a part of and look forward to a successful partnership together.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Amie Mills, TVNZ Children\u2019s commissioner, added: \u201cWe are excited to add <em>Kitty is Not a Cat<\/em> to our HEIHEI slate of new local and international content at launch. HEIHEI is committed to telling quality stories that spark children\u2019s creativity and curiosity.
