Childwise’s Monitor Report 2018 has concluded that the majority of children in the U.K. are now using personal devices more than traditional TV sets to consume video content.<\/p>\n
The study also revealed that kids aged 5 to 16 spend a little more than two and a half hours a day viewing programs, video and short clips, slightly up on last year’s amount. YouTube remains the top way of watching on-demand content, and binge-viewing is becoming an increasingly popular habit.<\/p>\n
Another finding of the report was that this year’s favorite YouTube vlogger is Logan Paul, who recently stirred up controversy with a video of his visit to Japan’s “suicide forest.” Other top YouTubers, in order of popularity, are DanTDM, Jake Paul, Zoella, Miniminter, Roman Atwood, Joe Sugg, The Pals and KSI.<\/p>\n
In addition, Netflix was found to be a favorite website\/app for 2 percent of children, making the list for the first time this year.<\/p>\n
More than 2,000 youngsters in schools across the U.K. completed in-depth online surveys for this comprehensive annual study, which examines the media consumption, purchasing, social habits and behavior of 5- to 16-year-olds.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
