China Central Television Children\u2019s Channel and Sesame Workshop have teamed up to co-produce segments for CCTV’s annual Spring Festival special.<\/p>\n

For the first time, CCTV will film a Chinese New Year special on the Sesame Street<\/em> set in New York. The production will teach young viewers about the traditions and customs of the annual holiday. Last year, Sesame Street<\/em> characters visited Singapore to learn about Spring Festival celebrations that are held outside of China.<\/p>\n

CCTV and Sesame Workshop first partnered 35 years ago for the televised Big Bird in China<\/em> special.<\/p>\n
