DHX Television has appointed Gary Finnegan, a former Turner International exec, as the company’s new VP of programming strategy.<\/p>\n

In his new position, Finnegan will be a key member of DHX Television’s senior management team, working out of Toronto under Joe Tedesco, senior VP and general manager. He will provide direction and guidance for creating and acquiring universally appealing content that will increase viewer engagement.<\/p>\n

Previously, Finnegan held a number of senior supervisory roles in programming, scheduling, acquisitions and content development across Turner’s EMEA and Asia kids’ business. He most recently oversaw content strategy for Turner APAC’s portfolio of pan-regional children’s channels spanning traditional and emerging media platforms.<\/p>\n
