Atlantyca Entertainment has secured a broadcast deal with Italian pubcaster Rai for the comedy-horror series Scream Street<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The 52×11-minute series will premiere this fall on the kids\u2019 and teen channel Rai Gulp. The stop-motion animated show is loosely based on a series of comedy-horror books by British writer Tommy Donbavand.<\/p>\n

Scream Street<\/em> is produced by Coolabi Group. ZDF Enterprises holds worldwide distribution rights, excluding the U.K., Eire, Australia and New Zealand. Atlantyca acquired diverse distribution rights for Italy from ZDF Enterprises and was also appointed by Coolabi Group as the licensing agent for Italian-speaking territories.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis series is filled with fast and furious stories, packed with lots of fun, horror and humor delivered with warmth and heart\u2014even if some of those hearts have stopped beating,\u201d said Caterina Vacchi, head of the animation department, executive producer and distribution director at Atlantyca. \u201cWe are excited to be able to partner with Rai once again; they\u2019re the ideal broadcaster to bring this wonderfully innovative and creative animated series to Italy\u2019s young audiences who are certain to become quick fans.\u201d<\/p>\n

Luca Milano, the director of Rai Ragazzi, commented, \u201cScream Street<\/em> is a series that innovates with imagination and fun the comedy-horror genre for kids. We are eager to launch it on our channel Rai Gulp from Monday, October 30. The series has a powerful concept and a wonderful CGI animation: it will be liked by boys and girls. Rai\u2019s young audiences are certain to become quick fans.<\/p>\n
