After co-founding Toca Boca seven years ago, Bj\u00f6rn Jeffery is stepping down as CEO of the children’s app maker, effective immediately, to spend more time with his family and figure out the next step in his career path.<\/p>\n
Over the next few weeks, Jeffery will work with the management team to help ease the transition resulting from his resignation. “We will also change our governance structure slightly in order to align with Spin Master, which does not have individual CEOs for their subsidiaries,” he said in a statement on the Toca Boca website. “This means while Ronnen Harary, co-CEO of Spin Master, will formally be the CEO of Toca Boca, COO Caroline Ingeborn and co-founder Emil Ovemar will lead and run the business and day-to-day operations together with the rest of Toca Boca\u2019s management team.”<\/p>\n
“This is a good time for transition\u2014Toca Boca has never done better,” Jeffery\u00a0noted. “Our app sales are at an all-time high, we just launched our first consumer-products program at Target, and we have several new product releases planned for the coming few months. We have also successfully integrated with Spin Master, our new corporate parent.
