An introductory video of Krash and Hehe<\/em>, an upcoming animated co-pro between China and Russia, was shown for the first time during a launch ceremony in Guangzhou, where a children\u2019s choir sang the theme song.<\/p>\n

Krash and Hehe<\/em> is being co-produced by China’s FUN Union and CCTV Animation, and Russia’s Riki Group. Krash is a rabbit from the Russian series\u00a0KikoRiki<\/em>, while Hehe is a panda from Chinese culture. The story follows the adventures of toys that come to life at night. The 52×11-minute first season, which is slated for delivery in 2019, is being made in 3D CGI with 2D inserts.<\/p>\n

Guests from China and Russia attended the ceremony alongside reps from the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television of The People\u2019s Republic of China, CCTV, China International Television Corporation, FUN Union and Riki Group. The guests of honor included Liu Yandong, vice premier of the People\u2019s Republic of China, and Olga Golodets, the Russian Federation’s deputy prime minister for social affairs.<\/p>\n

Christine Brendle, the CEO of FUN Union, commented: \u201cIt\u2019s an incredible honor to finance and lead the development of this project. We\u2019re seeing great signs of its global potential through the support we\u2019re receiving from our partners and government bodies.\u201d<\/p>\n

Yandong remarked: \u201cI\u2019m very glad to attend the launch ceremony of one of the most important projects of Sino-Russia Media Exchange Year: the Sino-Russian co-production animation Krash and Hehe<\/em>. This is the first co-production animation made by China and Russia.
