Heroes of Envell<\/em>, an animated fantasy series produced by Digital Television Russia and distributed by Signal Media, has been revealed as this year’s second MIPJunior World Premiere TV Screening.<\/p>\n

Created by Anton Lanshakov and Evgeny Golovin, Heroes of Envell<\/em> centers on four junior high school students who find a laptop that is a portal to a game world filled with real adventures and danger. The 26×11-minute Russian show, which has been translated into ten different languages, is meant for viewers between the ages of 8 and 14. A special 3D version is slated for release this fall on the Moolt VR interactive app for smartphones.<\/p>\n

Heroes of Envell<\/em> will be part of the New Creative Territories to Watch showcase at MIPJunior. The screening will be held on Sunday, October 15, at 5:40 p.m. It will be followed by a Q&A with the creators and producers of the series.<\/p>\n

Tatyana Tsyvareva, producer for Digital Television Russia, commented: \u201cWe are grateful to the MIPJunior organizers for this opportunity to premiere the first episode of Heroes of Envell<\/em> in Cannes. Modern school kids like adventures and play video games on computers and devices, so we based the plot on these hobbies while showing children different life situations and offering them behavior models founded on basic human values like mutual aid, kindness, friendship and respect.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lucy Smith, the director of MIPJunior, added: \u201cFor this second MIPJunior World Premiere TV Screening, and the first in the New Creative Territories to Watch category, we wanted to showcase a production with a highly original viewpoint.
